Too often, companies only hear back from their customers for a complaint. Well, this is not the case today.
I wanted to take a couple minutes of my time, and eventually yours, to let you know how very satisfied I am with the service and product you provided me. I ordered a lamp last Monday, Feb. 13th, via your online system. I had previously called your toll-free number and received some very valuable information by one of your representatives...I unfortunately did not take his name, but he was very polite, courteous and knowledgeable. That information helped me determine the next course of action, which was to place the order using your web-based ordering system. It worked like a charm. I was surprised to receive later that same day an email indicating that the order had been placed, and I was also provided a tracking number through which I could monitor the movement of my package...very cool! All and all, an attempt to deliver at my place was done this past Tuesday, Feb. 21st, so 6 business days after the order was placed. We unfortunately were not home at the time, but I was able to pick it up at the local post office the very next yesterday! I installed the lamp in my television last night, and it works like a charm.

By the way, I forgot to point out that I live in the Ottawa area, in Canada. The process was still very smooth, and for your information (and other Canadian customers), I did have to pay a "Customs fee" when I picked up the parcel at my local Canada Post office. For that size of package and content, the fee came up to $27.76 (Canadian fund). I thought I'd share this info with you.

I talked to Steve on a Wed, had the lamp via regular UPS delivery on Fri, and installed within 10 minutes on a Sat. "Steve" was great at answering my questions on the phone, the DLP Lamps website was informative and easy to follow, and I still can't believe this whole process was so simple. We have a Sony Wega KDF42WE655 LCD TV, which took the XL2100. When the picture blew, my first reaction was that we'd need to buy a new TV...boy, was I wrong! "I recently had a bulb (XL2400) go out in my Sony Rear Projection HDTV and found that DLP Lamps carried both the bulb or the bulb & housing assembly at a much more competitive price ($109/$129) than ordering directly from Sony ($199) and that your bulb was manufactured by Phillips and also carried a 6 month no questions asked warranty. I have had so much success with other Phillips products, with them lasting longer than most other products that this influenced my purchase decisions with DLP Lamps. I was a little skeptical about whether the bulb and housing assembly would be properly packaged to be able to endure the rough handling which most of our other shipments from other Vendors seem to receive while enroute to our residence here in Springfield Virginia.

However, we were pleasantly surprised by how professional the packaging of this product had been handled and we are proud to report it arrived undamaged and in good working order. This is why I have placed another order just a few minutes ago, in hopes it too will receive similar packaging and shipping treatment.
